HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIMESHARE OWNERSHIP
Timeshare is a perfect way to enjoy wonderful holidays in locations as varied as your home resort or in some far flung location on the other side of the world. To make sure you get the most out of your timeshare, we have put together this list of frequently asked questions and answers.
Q: How far in advance can I make a reservation? A: Each resort has a confirmation period that allows a booking to be confirmed well in advance of the booking date you request. Depending on the property you own at, this confirmation period can be up to 32 week (8 months), or up to 52 weeks (12 months).
Q: What is the confirmation period for my resort? A: The following resorts have a 32 week confirmation period:

Q: How can I make a reservation? A: A reservation can be made by mail (on our Reservation Request form sent with your previous confirmation) or telephone, fax or email. The contact details appear on the front page of each addition of the Newsflash.
Q: I want to book in the school holidays. What happens if more owners want this time than there are weeks available? A: In these cases, it is not a matter of first in first served. If there are more requests than there are units available when the confirmation period comes around, a ballot is held. Owners involved in the ballot are advised of the results immediately so they have the opportunity to reschedule their holiday plans.
Q: Must my maintenance fees be paid up-to-date for me to be entered into a ballot? A: Yes. To be eligible to be placed in the ballot, you maintenance fees must be up to date.
Q. What happens if I forget to make a booking or leave it until too late in the year and there are no space available? A: Unfortunately your week will have been lost or forfeited for that year. Maintenance fees will not be refunded. The secret is to plan as far in advance as possible and get you booking in as early as possible. The earlier you book your week, the greater the chances of getting the week you want.
Q: Can I carry my entitlement over to the subsequent year? A: No. The only way that you can carry forward your week is if you deposit or bank it with your exchange company. You do need to remember that like resort availability for home bookings, for you to deposit or bank a week with your exchange company, the later in the year you leave it, the more limited you opportunity.
Q: If I own a week of timeshare, and I have already stayed at my resort in a year, can I deposit or bank another week from the same year with an exchange company? A: With timeshare ownership, you have the opportunity to either book a stay at your resort, or deposit or bank your week of time with your exchange company. If you have already booked a week and stayed at your resort during a year, you will not be able to deposit or bank the time again with an exchange company.
An exception to this is if you are lucky enough to own 2 weeks of timeshare, then you can stay at your resort using one week and second week to deposit with your exchange company.
Q: I want to deposit/bank a week with an exchange company. Do the maintenance fees have to be paid before I can do this? A: Yes. Maintenance fees must paid for the year that you are depositing or banking.
