The Pines Resort is located in the tourist destination of Wanaka and just 5 minutes walk from the town's main business precinct. It is located on the southern shores of the beautiful Lake Wanaka in the South Island's Central Otago region - home to some of the country's most pristine recreational lakes and waterways.

Whether you are wanting to get involved in some of the exciting action pursuits, or the more sedate wine or art tours, or just relaxing on the beaches of the lake in the sunshine of Otago's long hot summers, the Pines Resort is the place to base yourself to take full advantage of what the region has to offer.

The Wanaka area has a range of holiday activities that you can try. It is right on the doorstep of the Mount Aspiring National Park and is close to some of the best high country skiing that the region has to offer, and fishing - both lake and high country rivers and streams.

You can tackle the many hiking and walking trails that follow the edge of the lake or travel over the hills and mountains, or you can try your hand at water skiing, horse riding or downhill heli-biking. The choice really is yours.

The Pines Resort has a total of 26 comfortable self service apartments. Each has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 7 people. Each apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated with full kitchen and laundry facilities. The resort itself has an on-site heated pool, spa pool and saunas.

There is a tennis court available for those with more athletic pursuits in mind.
